Nexnor Help
How can we help?
Everything about Nexnor: read and edit documents, create tasks right at the passage and work with notes – on iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo.
New to Nexnor? Start with Getting Started
Getting started
- Getting StartedNexnor brings documents, notes and tasks together: every task belongs to a place in a document. Here you get to know how the app is organised and create your first task.
- iPad, iPhone and iPhone DuoNexnor runs on iPad, iPhone and iPhone Duo with the same features. The layout adapts to the available width: on large screens columns sit side by side, on small screens they open one after another.

Tasks
- TasksThe “Tasks” tab shows every task from every document in one place – filtered by due date, status and list. This is where you check tasks off, assign lists and open the details.
- Editing a taskIn the task editor you set a task’s title, note, list, priority and due date. “More options” adds status, recurrence, tags and reminders.
- SubtasksSubtasks break a task into small, checkable steps. Each subtask can have its own due date and its own reminders.
- Reminders and recurrenceNexnor reminds you of due tasks with notifications, lets tasks recur regularly and highlights one task as “Up Next” on the Start screen.
- ListsLists of your own let you group tasks by topic, such as “Clients” or “Studies”. Each task sits in exactly one list or in “No List”.
Files
- FilesThe Files tab holds all the documents, notes and text documents you keep in Nexnor. Here you organise them in folders, sort and filter them and create new ones.
- Working with filesEvery file has a menu with info, description, favourite, move and delete. You can work on several files at once with the selection, or move them by dragging.
- DescriptionsDescriptions sum up briefly what a file is about and help you find files faster. Apple Intelligence creates them on your device, or you write them yourself.
- ImportingBring PDFs into your library from the Files app. Send files, images, text and links from other apps through the share sheet.
- TrashDeleted files, text documents and folders go to the Trash first. From there you can restore them or delete them permanently.
Workspace
- WorkspaceThe workspace is where you read and edit your documents and notes. Every open document has its own tab, and the tools float in capsules at the bottom.
- Notes and pagesNotes are made of pages with the paper of your choice; PDFs consist of their PDF pages. In both you can add, reorder, rotate and delete pages – and keep working freely around them.
- Inserting and objectsWith “Insert” you add text boxes, images, shapes, tables, links and signatures to your pages. You can then move, resize and rotate these objects and style them in the format panel.
- Markup, comments and drawingHighlight important passages in PDFs, add comments and write by hand with Apple Pencil or your finger. The “Markings & Bookmarks” list takes you back to every passage.
- Editing PDFsWith “Edit Text” you change the text of a PDF directly – single lines or whole paragraphs – and move, resize, replace or remove images on PDF pages.
- Tasks in DocumentsCreate tasks right at a text passage or at any spot on a page. Each task appears as a card in the page margin and stays linked to its spot.
- Text DocumentsText documents are Markdown or TXT files in your Nexnor library. You write in the source, read the formatted preview and link text passages and checkboxes to tasks.
- External DocumentsNexnor opens PDF, Markdown and TXT files from the Files app without importing them. To edit one, you create a copy in your library; the original stays unchanged.
- Export and ShareShare documents as PDF, print them, create independent copies and open original files that came along. The inspector shows details about the open document.

- PrivacyNexnor stores your content on your device and – only if you use sync – in your private iCloud. This page summarises where your data is kept. It does not replace the privacy policy.
- Help and SupportHere you’ll find out where to get help with Nexnor and how to send Support a log when something isn’t working.
