More & Nexnor Pro
iCloud Sync
With Nexnor Pro, Nexnor keeps your library up to date between your devices through your private iCloud. Without Pro, everything stays complete on the device where you created it.
Sync status in “More” #
You can see the sync status in “More” (the gear at the top right), in the second row.
Nexnor syncs when the app starts, every time you return to the app, and when you tap the status row. Text documents are also synced shortly after saving while they’re open. If Nexnor brings changes from another device into an open text document, “Undo” starts afresh there; the status bar then shows “Updated from another device · Undo history cleared”.
- Synced – the last sync was successful.
- Syncing – a sync is in progress; the cloud icon pulses.
- Not Synced Yet or iCloud unavailable – “Not Synced Yet” appears as long as no sync has taken place. “iCloud unavailable” means Nexnor can’t reach your iCloud; below it you then see “Sign in to iCloud in Settings. Your data stays on this device.”
- Sync Error, Different iCloud Account – Sync Paused and iCloud Temporarily Unavailable – see Sync problems.
- Below the status, a line may also say that open documents will sync after closing.
Sync problems #
If there’s a problem with iCloud, your data stays on the device. Once the cause is fixed, tap the status row in “More” to sync again.
- Sync Error: Tap the row. Nexnor shows the message from iCloud with “Try Again” and “Cancel”.
- Different iCloud Account – Sync Paused: A different Apple Account is signed in on the device than at the last sync. Your data stays on this device; sync resumes once the original account is signed in again.
- iCloud Temporarily Unavailable: Open the Settings app › Apple Account and confirm your account. With Advanced Data Protection the device needs a passcode. Your data stays on this device in the meantime.
- iCloud unavailable: Check that you’re signed in to iCloud in the Settings app and have an internet connection. Then tap the row to try again.
